ABOUT JOANNE PAMPINELLA
My name is Joanne Pampinella. Most people call me “Jo.” I live in beautiful sunny Phoenix Arizona with my husband and our sweet rescue dog.
I was lucky enough to grow up in the beautiful village of Malverne, Long Island, New York. We lived close to the beaches and were just a short train ride into wonderful, inspiring New York City. Talk about the best of both worlds!
I think I have always had a heart and soul of an artist. I clearly remember writing and illustrating stories at a very young age. I just never grew out of it. Art has always been a huge part of my life.
I truly feel blessed to create and share my artwork with others. There is nothing greater than the feeling you receive when someone connects or loves your art. It is a thrill that never gets old to me.
My style is fun and vibrant. Working mostly with acrylic paint, I build layer after layer of color. This process takes time and patience. Focusing on composition and placement of color, the artwork starts to take shape or as I like to say…”comes to life.” This is the exciting part for me. I can now almost envision what the final piece may look like.
Listening to music while I work is an important part of my painting process. My art, much like music, has a rhythm and flow all of it’s own. Working this way is a joyous experience that I believe transfers over into my creations.
Thank you so much for your interest in my work!
